This is my wilderness travel FAK. It is mainly designed to deal with sickness as opposed to massive injury and it MUST be man packable. It currently weighs in at around 7 pounds. I always carry a head torch and depending on where I am a sterile sharps kit as well.

1. The bag all packed up. I forgot to put something next to it for size comparison.

2. Contents of the front pouch – a first response kit, hand sanitizer and a large permanent marker. It usually contains a rite in the rain notepad and pencil but I was using them for something else when the pic was taken.

3. Contents of the first response pouch (left to right, top to bottom):

4. First 2 sections of the bag, these are very small and contain:

Providone Iodine Swabs (to add to water for dirty wound irrigation)
A bunch of band aids
Paracetamol with Decongestant Lemon drink
