Summer bag, amusement park bag, hope this works. Was looking for light tactical bag with the front pouch and two sides plus compression straps but nothing quite like this:
My current bagpack: Dragon Egg (from Helikon-Tex, a polish brand) in kryptek highlander camo…a perfect urban EDC pack and ideal for a daily outdoor trip!
That is the way I like my messenger bags, too… if (when) I get caught in the rain, the front flap is like a big waterproof tarp over my bag and whatever is inside of it.
Black Diamond “Magnum 20”. Fairy basic, light, compressible, useful side, front, top pockets plus the the pouch with elastic chord. It also is hydration compatible! I find this quite simple yet effective.
It was hard to resist the sale and the bag passed my cirteria for looks and functionality for a light summer pack. I tested 16 oz kleen kanteen and the side pocket where you can secure with cord and turned it upside down and it held on! The proportions are great when filled, lies flat on your back and high! Being a person with small frame, I despice packs that bulge and hang low on your back.This won’t be my last for sure!
That’s good news! You can buy more for as long as its black. I’ve been successful with that! So now I have a real challenge since the next acquisition is pointing to a tan\coyote\sandstone! My only light coloured tacticals are the Rush messenger bags in sandstone and multi-cam, the latter being supposedly returned but ended up keeping it well hidden under a pile of bags!
