KeymasterI’m thinking you have the OD Trail colour and size wise I’m for the Lima. Its the best colour combination of a tactical messenger and I would have gotten one right away if not for the black, sandstone, and multi-cam colour I already have – the original version!

KeymasterPicked up the 2015 redesigned Router backpack recently from The North Face. They’ve made a number of smart improvements, but time will tell after I’ve had some more experience with it.
They’ve pared down the capacity to 35 liters this time. The previous version was an ungainly 41 liters which was a bit much for EDC.
500D Cordura!
The “lay flat” TSA friendly laptop compartment has carried over from the Transit versions of their packs. Lacks a dedicated padded sleeve for tablets, just a laptop compartment.
The admin section is reconfigured a bit and has more fleece lined sections.
The wimpy top grab handle from the previous version has been beefed up and there’s a handle on the front similar to Kelty, Mountain Hardwear, etc.
The back panel is nicely bolstered with defined channels and raised cushioned sections. You may be able to make it out in the pictures. Still a wimpy waist belt (removeable). Back frame sheet seems stiff and adequate.
The straps seem a tiny bit wider than the previous version (1/4 inch wider?) but it still has the injection molded FlexVent rubber cushioning. No load lifters on straps.
Dimensions: 21” x 13.75 x 8”
Volume: 2136 in³ (35 liters)On to the pics. Insert obligatory apology for poor image quality/lighting here.

Keymastertigz,
Yes I love 5.11. I have their Moab 6, 10 and Rush 24 which i still use depending on the need and loadout. The Goruck was my wife and daughter’s Father’s Day gift. Makes for a much more subdued bag at the office
Added a 5.11 H2O Carrier and tier straps to my GR1.

Experience is a cruel teacher. It gives a test before presenting the lesson.
