KeymasterThanks, liking it so far but it has forced me to rethink what I carry around with me all day (which is a good thing).

KeymasterAnyone carrying around a Chrome Industries bag everyday ? I’ve been looking into getting a Soyuz or a Citadel, but my shoulders are quite narrow and I’m 172cm tall and I’m not sure if those bags would fit me. There aren’t a lot of videos on them either.
Thanks in advance,
Bob 🙂December 16, 2025 at 12:11 pm #134240admin

KeymasterMy first outing with it today so it’s a work in progress at the moment but already I’ve found that because of the layout of the bag you have to be more organised, I’ve used individual pouches (Eagle Creek Quarter Cubes & a Maxped EDC pouch) inside the main compartment.

KeymasterGet any comments on it from strangers?
Just curious as I’ve been thinking about picking one up…
Not that I NEED another bag; but I wants what I wants…

KeymasterI haven’t gotten a single comment on my rush 12, but it’s honestly like when I started carrying a pistol…I feel like everyone is eye banging me.
I’d imagine that the trident is similar.
I really hope that the straps on the trident out Litespeed are more comfortable. The rush 12 was just not made for someone with my shoulders.

KeymasterNo comments so far.
Need? Need? What is this strange phenomenon of which you speak? 😉

KeymasterNeed is what happens when you realize you don’t like your backups either.

KeymasterI must admit, ‘need’ doesn’t always come in to it for me, it’s usually much more of a ‘want’ 🙂

KeymasterI switched from my 5.11 Rush 12 to my new Vanquest Trident-20 a few days ago. I am loving it. I felt the Rush 12 did a great job organizing my stuff, but the Vanquest is night and day better for me. I keep most of my stuff in three or four small pouches and the Vanquest design lends itself to that way of carrying. It is nice and compact and really makes you think about what you need to have with you. I highly recommend this bag. I am glad I tried this one later, as I would not have the assortment of other bags if it had been first in line.

KeymasterFor me, it was a need thing lately. I need to switch to a backpack, and I need to not be annoyed for several years until I figure it out.
Unfortunately, that meant spending like $600 up front and relying on return policies. But, hopefully it’ll work out. I’ll get a hundred back when I send the R12 back…so, that’s part way there.
