KeymasterJust went in Atmosphere store Toronto and they had this bags displayed in tandem, best part is – 25%!, you are right on the surge!, there’s a dedicated full zip down laptop back compartment which makes it a three part bag. I’m not really big on TNF bags because I’m drowning from all the jackets, sweaters, gloves, shorts, pants of the brand!

KeymasterWork today..
But also came home to this
I missed my old Rush 12. It is the most organized pack I’ve ever had and the price is very hard to beat.
The Rush and HAWG are literal opposites of one another. The HAWG is narrower and lighter while the Rush is wider and heavier. HAWG’s 500d Cordura is also more compressible while Rush’s 1050d nylon is stiff and keeps its shape. HAWG’s straps are also more streamlined as the Rush’s are wider and thicker. Both bags carry well but where the HAWG’s shines is its ability to comfortably carry whether empty or fully loaded. With its streamlined straps, padded back, and narrower dimensions, it is THE most comfortable pack I’ve ever had. But I also like the Rush 12’s clam shell opening, simple design, and AMAZING organization. I really don’t need a second backpack as my HAWG carries everything but I’m gonna hold on to the R12 as my oldest might want it later

KeymasterThe North Face backpack I just bought is actually made out of Condura. Had a tag on the Surge and Recon noting as such. But my old TNF bag wasn’t made out of condura and it still held up fantastically

KeymasterI almost got a Pygmy Falcon, but I got the All Hazards Nitro in stead. Nice bag though. 🙂

KeymasterI don’t like the newer recon pack. The older ones are much better. IMO.
