KeymasterJust got this used Kelty Boomerang on eBay. $25 for a temporary pack. I needed something bigger than my Osprey 18 liter. I might dye the yellow black, but it’s a great bag nonetheless. Nice and simple organization, hydration compartment, comfortable…

KeymasterWarrior,
Would you mind telling us a little more about your canteens and holders? Are they M1 Army canteens and are the holders part of your pack or are they molle attached? Please advise. Thank you.

They’re just 1 quart plastic canteens, and the side pouches are standard on the MAP. The pouches have shock cord and a cord lock on them.December 16, 2025 at 10:19 am #133537admin

Those canteens bring back memories of my boy scout hiking and camping days. I preferred the plastic canteens to the metal ones because I hated the metallic taste the latter imparted to the water. I was lucky enough to have the authentic U.S. Army canteen, canteen cup, and mess kit. Back on topic: That’s a nice water carrying setup you have on your pack.

You’re gonna love it. You’ll be surprised how much room it has, and how easily accessible items are.December 16, 2025 at 10:20 am #133540admin

How do you like your MAP 3500? I may be looking into getting one as a dayhike/bushcraft bag to replace my Maxped Condor II because I’m wanting something bigger
By the way, I used to have a Maxpedition Falcon II. Have never owned a Condor II, so I’m not sure of the size of it. I could easily fit the Falcon II inside the MAP 3500. Here’s a side by side photo of the two:[IMG]
Looks small next to my Gregory Baltoro 75 however, haha:

Another size comparison, MAP 3500, vs Falcon II:

KeymasterMy new EDC bag. Loving it already. Kinda disappointed to learn that it made in Vietnam. Thought is US made. Great bag non the less. Patches on the way to pimp it up a bit.

KeymasterWinters over…here at least. I switched back to my summer bag yesterday.
It’s a Kifaru tailgunner 1 with a TT utility pouch SOE camelback bottle pouch and SOE multitool pouch.

The Condor is smaller than the Falcon I believe. Shorter by the looks of it

I love how he put the pillow inside the Condor and then the Condor inside the 3500. It’s like a turducken but different. 😀
