Pilot Varsity fountain pen

So after reading how so many of you swear by a fountain pen, I decided to try a 3 dollar throw away. I have to say, that even a pen this cheap seems to write better than other ballpoints I’ve tried. I’m going to use it all this week before deciding if I want to invest in a nicer one that takes refills.

I’m leaning towards using Midori notebook, so what fountain works best with that paper?
