I have been carrying just a Vic Tinker in a sheath for a few days. Only recently getting into the SAK thing. I carry it in a sheath. I want a good SAK for a woods knife too (thinking about the Hiker). It is comfortable, very comfortable, to just carry a SAK, which can handle everything I do and then some versus a Buck 110, Kabar Mule, etc. I plan to carry just a SAK in the woods as well. My question is for those with experience with SAKs for EDC and Wilderness use. Are the plastic scale SAKs just as strong as the Alox versions? Thanks for your help in my new found love for the Swiss Army Knife.
