So I was sitting around bored today on my day off and I decided to make a new pocket organizer. I really like the design of this one so far I think I might make a couple more with some more tweaks. But I had an idea and wanted to see what you guys think. Basically I wanted to come up with something that would keep my items in place better without using pocket clips or covers. I will use the pocket clips that I have on my Hinderer and Space pen but my Beta QR is a first gen and there is currently no pocket clip for that model. As for the Swisstool, the only way to get a pocket clip for that is to modify it. So I was thinking about putting a few coats of Plasti Dip on the top 1″ of the organizer. Just where I folded the material over and it bulges out. My thinking is that the rubber will add a bit more friction which should help hold the items in place, especially when I’m sitting down and my pants get a little tighter around my leg. Im mostly worried about losing things when I’m sitting down and this should help a great deal. Part of me wants to do just the top edge and the other part wants to put maybe a 1/4″ to 1/2″ of Plasti Dip in the bottom of a small bucket and coat the whole back plate and leave the front plain. If I do the whole back plate it would help a great deal with keeping the stitching from coming undone but Im worried that the Plasti Dip might rub off or get on my items.
