KeymasterI’ve always dreamed of having an EDC pack with military heritage. Either it be a TAD Litespeed, 5.11 Rush 12, Mystery Ranch ASAP, Tactical Tailor Removable Operator Pack, or Kifaru E&E.
I have searched high and wide, but all of them posed a huge roadblock; price. Non of my dream bags mentioned above where near my price range of $50. I am a nurse working in a third world hospital and i am proud to say i can live off less than $400 a month.
So here it is, the answer to my problems; the Tasmanian Tiger Essential Pack.
Key points to why this bag works for me:
1. It maybe be small (540ci/8L), yet I use 90% of the space 90% of the time. Efficient.
2. Price. $50 CAD, + $10 for Multicam.
3. Rare. I get that exclusive feel.Note 1: My ideal capacity would be around 18-21L.
1st choice, the Mystery Ranch ASAP, but very expensive. Still is my dream pack.
2nd choice was the TacTailor RO pack was perfect, still expensive.
3rd was Goruck SD15 or SD20. Problem is, at that time, it was at $100. Had it been $60 then as is the price now, i would have probably gone for it. Pro’s: Size, Con’s: No Molle, No compression straps.Note 2: Luckily, I had a friend living in Canada. Thus the free shipping.
Note 3: The are certain discrepancies with the measurements given in the website, 44 x 27 x 4 cm or 17.3 x 10.6 x 1.5 in. I have done my own measurements down below.
Here are a couple pictures. I’ve noticed there aren’t many reviews on this pack let alone other Tasmanian Tiger gear. Maybe one day, if there is a demand, i’ll make a video review.
Hope this helps anyone. Any questions would be gladly entertained.
(10in Netbook + 800ml water bottle + 300ml Mountain Dew bottle)
+ camera pouch. Still got space for a t-shirt or small bag of chips.
Yes. It can stand upside down, if clothes in the bottom.
you probably wouldn’t want to do this, but this just shows how long the straps are…more pictures to follow..
