PR 4 refill wont fit my embassy pen

right so today i got my military cap o matic in the mail, while playing around with it i decided to see if i could swap the refill with the one in my embassy pen and the one from the cap o matic wont fit my embassy pen, it get stuck on the tip side that threads into the rest of the pen. Theyre both PR 4 refills black med. both the same length and side to side dont look a bit different at all. should i buy another refill and try? or are the refills mis labeled or out of spec? anybody else have this problem?
