Pre-assembled or build my own?

ve been thinking about this a lot. There have been so many times where I needed something from a FAK and don’t have anything on hand. This is my first one so it needs to be good.

I wear a Maxpedition Sitka so I’ve got some room to play with. I would like for this kit to be equipped for minor cuts, bruises, aches and pains to severe bleeding and such. I don’t have a whole bunch of money to spend so be a little thrifty.

Also….should I build my own or buy a pre-assembled one? What’s the cheaper option? Should I go for the heaped option?
