Questions about new LM Surge being too tight and holster for bits questions.

So I decided on the big boy, the Leatherman Surge. It is very tight opening the pliers so I sprayed some WD-40 on the pivots, opened and closed each side a bunch of times and it got better but is still a little too tight. Will loosing the torx screws a little help.? I don’t want the tools on the outside loose. Closing it from fully open takes some effort. Leave it and let it loosen from use or back off a little on the screws?
Also, I’d like to buy the bit set and extension. Will they fit in the leather case that came with the newer surge (has file pouch) or will I need a different holster?
