KeymasterOver the years I’ve transitioned from Steno pads to spiral notebooks to soft side Moleskine notebooks to the classic hard cover Moleskine for work. I use them for my work notes. I get a year and half or so out of a large notebook. I really try and minimize the stuff I carry and when I saw the Rickshaw Bags Classic Moleskine Folio, I thought, “perfect.” Something I can through my pen in, some business cards, etc. I was already using the large notebooks. This would protect the notebook in my travels. What I really like was the fact I could customize it to my liking, which is exactly what I did.
One of my biggest gripes the Moleskine is how dirty the cover gets. It’s like everything sticks to it even though it only sets on a desk. I used a screen cleaner (Windex) and cleaned the outside of the cover off on both sides.
The inside is pretty simple, you’ve got a clear pocket to stuff thing in on the right side. The back of the notebook cover slips into a pocket behind the clear pocket…
You’ve got pen slots, an ID holder and this neoprene type divider that provides a protective barrier between you pens and etc. and the notebook…
By the way, the pen slots are big enough for larger pens. The notebook fits snug and the cover is made to give you more room between the notebook and the items stored in the front cover. Also, the notebook opens flat for easy writing…
There is also a large pocket built into the cover with a small zipper that gets held in a keeper. You could keep small then item in here…
Also, you can can customize the appearance of your cover at no additional cost. I choose the Waterproof X-Pac, which is a sail cloth…..Why I chose red I have no idea…..but I like it…
