Setting up my first FAK – suggestions please

Hey guys. I am picking up a Maxpedition Fatty Organizer today, which I plan on using to hold the first FAK I’m puttign together. I don’t have any type of medical training other that the basic first aid and CPR course that my union provides for us. This will be changinf in the future as I’m planning on finding a couple more courses to take. What I would like is a nice balanced FAK that can serve a few different purposes. First would be just to have in the car incase I’m ever out and me or anyone else needs it, secondly would be to throw in a backpack for a family daytrip somewhere (ie, festivals and such), and lastly would be to throw in a backpack for a day hike. I realize that ideally one would have multiple FAKs, each being taliored to a specific purpose, and maybe in the future I’ll do that, but for now I’ll have just this one. The main people I’m concerned with treating are me, my son and my wife. The only real special need items would be for my sons peanut allergy (ie. Benedryl and an epi pen) About a year ago, on a whim, I picked up this Adventure Medical Field Trauma kit to put in a BOB that I was building. I later realized this was kind of dumb because I don’t know what half of this stuff is, or how to use it. I would like to use it as the basis for the kit I’m building. Here are it’s contents:

Could you guys give me an idea of what I should add or remove from this kit to serve the purposes I listed abouve? Things like a CPR face shield and such. Thanks for your time.
