“Sharpening” Vic Spirit screwdrivers/etc

I just want some second opinions on this before I give it a shot. My only complaint with my Spirit is how the tools are all so highly polished, the phillips screwdriver especially can be a little slippy when torquing on screws hard, which can quickly result in a stripped screw. With the flat screwdrivers I can file them or even take them to a sharpening stone and give them sharper edges to bite, but I’m not sure about the best way to do the phillips without making the “+” too thin and possibly weak. Any ideas?
