A question to the EMTs and others with knowledge of drugs…I keep a small stash of OTC meds in my FAK, and don’t know their expiration dates as they are separated from their original containers. I change them out yearly, but…
Are there particular OTC drugs that are exceptionally noxious when they expire, and if so, what are they? Do some drugs have a particularly short shelf life?
Aspirin? Ibuprophen? Dypenhydramine (Benadryl)? Loratadine (Claritin)? Acetaminophen? Loperamide (Immodium)? Pseudoephedrine (Sudafed)?
