yeah it is, sturdy and full of nice places to stash stuff including well thought out elastic straps. Too bulky to sit on the front of that Kato though, whipped it off and put it inside. Love it though!September 24, 2025 at 9:46 am #22384admin

KeymasterIt’s a rip-away Condor FAK. I keep it in the back of my Toyota FJ.

KeymasterThis is not my FAK, it is part of my everyday carry where I have to/want to travel light. I can not carry a full-sized FAK able to handle a trauma situation on a daily basis, I focus on the far more common “boo boos”. In addition to this I carry several field dressings which can handle bleeding.
The pocket is a Rite in te Rain 3 x 5 cover and I carry two of those, one for the medical stuff and one for “tools”, which basically means firesteel, swisscard, Leatherman bits etc.
Attached to that is a tritium vial which makes it easy to find in the dark, either in the bag or when it is taken out in a dark environment. Also attached to the keyring is a Victorinox Classic SD (shown taken out)
It opens up to two pockets, the left one is filled with black nitrile gloves, not sure how many but it is more than enough. Not a big fan of black medical gloves but got them from a friend of mine and I do like the fit and feel of them, I will probably go for the light version next time: Bear Claw.
The reason for that is quite simple, it is hard to see blood on the gloves when doing a full body examination, for example from under clothes. Other than that they are great and if you need the stealth then go for it, it is a pretty minor con.
The right side is filled with the contents you can see in the last picture, from left to right:
2 Cosmopor E
4 Alcohol swabs
2 Needles for extracting splinters etc.
1 Library card with tape for protection against chafing from shoes etc. Can obviously be used as regular tape
3 Large band aids that can be cut to desired size with the scissors from the SAK.
2 Small band aids. Not sure how they work or if they are any good. They came in a pack I got from our equivalent to Walmart and I just threw it in there because they didn’t weigh much.
9 Larger band aids.
4 Compeed used for preventing or protecting blisters. That’s about it, nothing fancy or hard to find but still able to take care of most boo boos that comes up. Can be easily refilled. Taking out the gloves will more than double the amount of band aids etc. that can be carried. Oh, I also have gloves in my jacket and in my bag, the ones in the kit is mostly replacements.

KeymasterOutdoor,
I assume that is an OB tampon. Do you know which one (size)? That thing looks tiny and would work as a good emergency carry… And yes real men carry tampons for the ones they love!

KeymasterThis rides shotgun in the jeep…
Not for day to day boo-boos, most of those are left to the “suck it up” method.

KeymasterThis is my overgrown boo-boo kit in a black Condor Rip-Away EMT Pouch. It’s a work in progress and it needs some fine tuning, but I’m getting pretty happy with it.:)

KeymasterStandout items are the cohesive bandage in the upper left hand corner, the wound glue and the small kit in the lower right hand corner. The small kit mainly consists of bandaids and some meds and is kept in the tool compartment of my Sitka. The main kit rides in a different compartment.

KeymasterHere’s our main FAK. We have several other smaller ones but this is our “main kit”.

Keymaster“Better late than never” I’ll follow suit..
My most recent FAK. No nonsense, really quite basic. 2 4×4 pads, a handfull of bandaids (large and small) bacitracin, gloves, shears and a needle stylus for splinters. All in a rip away M4 mag pouch -
