KeymasterThe pals webbing on the back is also velcro so it can be mounted to the front loop field or on the side compression strap. It’s usually in one of the inside pockets but it’s nice to open up space when I need it.
I really don’t use my edc fak much so I’ve downsized to save space in my malaga.

KeymasterHi. First post here, though I’ve been reading this forum for a year already. 🙂
I’d like to show my EDC FAK that I have with me at work every day. I also carry a bigger kit in my car so this is the “lite” version with only essential things included.
Condor Rip-Away EMT pouch seems to be quite popular and I do see why. I use it myself as well.
I’ve got it attached to my Hazard 4 Evac Plan B Sling back pack.
And one last picture with all contents on the table.I tried to keep the package as compact as possible but still include essential things for life threathening accidents and also for smaller “everyday accidents” like small cuts etc. I also have an assortment of meds, including different painkillers, allergy medicine etc.

KeymasterThanks for the inspiration!! I got a new EDC bag today and with all the organization I was able to transfer over the items from my MaxPed Fatty which I think I am going to convert into a simple FAK to keep in the new bag Lloyd. I don’t have ANY first aid training (hoping to change that this summer) so I want to keep it basic. Gauze, bandages, pokysporin, burn creme, Tylenol, diarrhea meds, halls, etc. Maybe even some items to “freshen up” like a travel toothbrush, etc. We’ll see what I come up with and I will let you all know!

KeymasterYou guys have some awesome FAKs! I need to get off of my hind end and put one together. Keep the inspiration coming!

KeymasterMine is just an off-the-shelf REI kit. It’s not bad, but there are some things I should change/add.
The thing I really like about it is that it’s 2 kits in one. The smaller kit can be removed and folds up like a velcro wallet. Good for just a small outing, when the larger kit isn’t needed.

KeymasterI have two kits. One in my personal vehicle and another one that is in my patrol car. The kits are set up about the same, but the one in my personal car has a few more “boo-boo” items in it and the patrol car kit has extra combat gauze and some HALO chest seals. The kits are in tactical tailor first responder bags and are stocked with:
EMT shears
Benchmade seatbelt cutter
4×4 gauze pads
medical tape
emergency blanket
Pocket bag valve CPR mask (worth its weight in gold if you have ever tried to use a regular mask)
Quick Clot combat gauze
Quick Clot sponges x2
Israeli bandage
2 rolls of 4 inch gauze
CAT tournequet
ACE 4 inch bandages x2
2 pairs of nitrile gloves
purell
tweezers
bacitracin
ibuprofin
numerous band-aids
butterfly bandages
finger splints
eye drops
Blistex
hydrocortisone creme
and a mini LED light

KeymasterHere is the IFAK that I currently take while hiking with one other person or myself. It’s by no means perfect but for me it works just great. You may notice that a few items are not in here and I will explain why in a moment. Please keep in mind that this is a IFAK that was designed to be carried with a LOT more gear and so weight is a big concern.
Some of the equipment you find in medical kits such as this has been dropped. Do to the fact that I carry the tools in another fashion on my person and don’t want to spend more weight duplicating said items. Such as scissors, knife, pliers and so on. Regardless, I do have ways to make my knife and other tools sterile if need be. Just thought I’d put that out their.
Also I am missing certain items due to the fact that I haven’t had the time or money to order them yet. This mainly being sutures. I am fully capable of deploring them and using them but I just haven’t had extra cash as of late to get a pair. The ones that used to reside in this IFAK have been lost out in the woods somewhere and I have not had a chance to replace them yet.
Another item that you will find missing is a syringe. I often have one in this kit for irrigating a wound but I had to order some new ones because the old one broke. The new ones should be here soon and will be re-added to this kit ASAP.

KeymasterAll my supplies before putting them in my condors rip away medic bag lastnight , all I need is some Israeli combat bandages and a cat tourniquet and maybe a few more suture sets and ill be good! It helps to have a fiancé that’s a nurse and a future mother in law as one as well I’d say I have no more than 25$ in all my supplies and that’s including the condor rip away bag

KeymasterMy simple kit, I’m looking for ways to increase capabilities for the size/weight. I’ll probably be changing out the carry method to something lower profile (maybe in an Aloksak) or more capacity.
I need to restock on tylenol and alcohol pads, which are usually in the kit but not pictured. It’s definitely not the most capable and I need to do a bit of work to it, but every time I’ve needed it, it’s been there for me.
Blister band-aids
Purell
Benchmade Hook 5
Moleskin pad
Non-stick pads/non-stick gauze
Band-sids
Bacitracin
Closure stripe
Quikclot Sport
Gauze pads
Medical shears
1″ Tape
