KeymasterMy urban F.A.K. I`m using a box from “АИ – аптечка индивидуальная” (soviet first aid kit, which was used by soviet union civil defence troops). And in that box I usualy carry some pain killers for head and for the stomach, antiseptic gel, moist towelette and some plasters. I have another F.A.K. wich is more advanced, but I carry it not everyday.

KeymasterI just recently put this together. It was inspired by this injury which alerted me to the fact that the pre-assembled pocket first aid kit I had was simply not adequate.

KeymasterIt’s a basic (level 1) FAK. It rides in my EDC bag, so it is never too far from me. I also carry a couple each of alcohol swabs and band aids in my wallet for minor injuries that would be prone to infection or for times when I would suck it up but I don’t want to bleed all over everything.

KeymasterNice kit – How do you like that Coban :)? Have looked at it a few times but never used it, what sort of things do you use it for?

KeymasterGenerally I use them for holding gauze in place…cold compresses…etc.

KeymasterHi guys… This is my FAK. I have two MP FR1 pouches and I carry one everywhere. I have a very large one at home which is sold as a compiled kit. It is here :
The one I carry with me is here, a little “pic heavy” Please note that I also have a “double pocket” attached to the FR1 :
Feel free to ask questions… I have some oinments in the zipper bag but this med pack is far from complete. I’ll also add some suture additions including some silk soon. I attended to Med. school for 2 years and then I dropped it and became a computer engineer. I know, stupid… 🙂
Cheers,
