It is red emproadery grid riveted to thin red craft foam and then cut to match my armor plates. Items are held to the grid using zip ties or double-sided tape to keep them in place and will stay organized when opened. The whole package is then vacuum sealed and a slit is cut below the bottom seal so it is easily opened.

My edc kit, Sits next to my seat on the work van, rides shotgun in the jeep and goes at the foot of my bed at night.

    Two tourniquets
    Two chest seals
    Npa (with lube)
    Quick clot gauze
    Roller gauze
    Izzy dressing
    Ars needle
    Misc gauze pads
    Write in the rain
    Sharpie

Missing from the pic is a set of trauma shears and a small roll of painters tape, because I had just used them to cover a cut.

This isn’t exactly EDC, but I take it on any scout trip or hike. I took this pic a while ago for another reason but I thought I’d share here. It’s definitely geared towards bleeding. I think I need to add ibuprofen since on our last scout trip… it was the ONE thing I needed! And even though I always carry a Fisher pen, I should keep a pencil in there with paper. Oh, and the ‘lucky dog’s foot’ in the picture is not part of the kit.

I used to have a full blown kit (personalized by myself) and got tired of non use, so I switched to carrying a few bandaids in my wallet. When I bought my car I was surprised to find they included (and by my novice experience) a nicely stocked one in the trunk. That is all the medical equipment I carry.

Here’s mine in a sweet tin. 😀 I’ve had to use this a few times when friends have been in need. In all honesty I mainly carry it for other people rather than myself. I also commute by bicycle so if I ever fall off and cut / graze myself, I can sort myself out.

    Contents:

    Wound Cleansing Wipes x 4
    Large Plasters x 2
    Medium Plasters x4
    Small Plasters x4
    Burn Gel x1
    Paracetamol x 4
    Ibuprofen x 2
    Buscopan x 4
    Heartburn Tablets x 2

    Hi

I recently made some changes to the outside of my FAK. On the inside it is still the same but I added a Mil-spec Monkey tourniquet/shear pouch in foliage so that it wouldn’t blend in with the rest of my gear that is all black. I also added two Maxpedition grimlocks on the back so that it hangs on the cargo netting in my car.

Here’s what I carry in my EDC bag (Timbuk 2 messenger bag)…

It is TSA/Airport safe, which is a must for this bag. Inside I have the following

    EMT shears
    Angled surgical clamp
    (2) 4″ gauze bandages
    OB tampon
    Numerous adhesive bandages (several sizes)
    6 pakettes of Triple-A antibiotic
    (1) straw of Neosporin
    (1) straw of (3) Benadryl
    (1) straw of (2) Acetaminophen
    8′ of duct tape
    Compressed towel
    Nail clippers
    Mini-Bic lighter
    AA Rayovac Penlight
    Zebra Epanz pen
    Pill vial with ranger band
    (4) Acetaminophen
    (4) Benadryl
    (6) Baby asprin
    (2) Safety pins
In my pocket (up until I have to fly, when it goes in my checked luggage), I always have a LM Micra w/ scissors (and tweezers) and a knife. In my other pocket I also have a Fisher Bullet and a Fenix AAA light along with a handkerchief. In my bag I have a large bandana for slings, bandages or just general use.

It’s really a pretty functional package which will travel about anywhere.
