Slide rules etc., on watches

I have to admit a liking for aviator’s style watches, but most of the functions, fuel calculators etc., would be purely for decoration. Any of us, pilots excepted, use these functions?
Even working in motorsport nowadays I don’t need a stopwatch, I just read off the circuit’s timing screen with my ‘phone.
