Smartphone camera reviews and Galaxy Note 4 specs – speculative of course

The Galaxy S5 was tested with DXOmarks, known for being demanding for smartphones, and it (the Galaxy S5) came out at the top of the pile, tied for the No. 1 with the Sony Xperia Z2. With an overall score of 79, the Galaxy S5 beat out a number of camera phone leaders including the Nokia 808 PureView, the iPhone 5s and the Nokia Lumia 1020.

Several web sources that troll the web for news on upcoming smartphone releases found out more specs for the Galaxy Note 4 expected this fall.

. . . a user agent profile for a device with the same model number has appeared at the Note 4’s manufacturing company site, and it clearly states that the phone has a display resolution of 1,440 x 2,560 pixels, also known as quad HD or 2K.
Knowing Samsung’s history with smartphone displays, it looks like it is now fairly safe to say that the 5.7-inch QHD screen will be the Galaxy Note 4′s most incredible feature. Other reported other Note 4 specs include a quad-core 2.7GHz Snapdragon processor and a 16-megapixel camera.

I’m using a Galaxy Note 2 and along with those using the original Note and S3s and S4s contemplating new phones later this year, the Note 4 will be in contention as a phablet option.
