    TacPack

So, after a few weeks of research and countless hours of debating on which subscription box I thought would be worth it, I honestly couldn’t decide. Each box had their pros and cons it seemed, but in the end I finally decided upon Tacpack!

I received my first box, and what was inside this small box was definitely not expected. This box was filled to the brim with QUALITY tactical gear, and we aren’t talking just one or two good things and 5 tinker toys like some of the other boxes out there *cough* Alpha Outpost *cough*, every single piece of gear in this box is name brand, and SOLID! The total value of the box going by the sheet supplied with the TacPack was $90.00USD, however after looking up the prices on the web I found the actual value of the box to be $96.55, which is definitely not a bad thing when you find out there is more value in their box than they depict!

You’ll notice I did not include the Chris Kyle Commemorative Coin in the list, because they did not list a price for it, it is just something they threw in to show honor to a man that truly cared about his country, and that says a lot about this company, nowhere near enough people stand behind our troops nowadays!

The first thing included in the box is the sheet showing what is in the box, which is great considering some people may not understand the true value of the things they are receiving!

The first piece of gear I pulled from the box was the ABKT Gun Mat, these things are cheap in price, but not cheaply made. It’s actually already the primary mat I use for my pistols so I definitely am not complaining about having a secondary one! Plus my current one was Coyote Brown, so getting the OD Green version was nice.

The second piece of gear stacked into the box was the Readyman EDC Tool, which I was actually ecstatic to receive, I had been eyeballing it for some time, but had never pulled the trigger. I’ll have a separate review on this piece alone coming up soon, so look out for it!

Next up in the pack was the TinderZips, I had never heard of this product before, but was amazed by the ingenuity to create it. I instantly installed them on my EDC Fire Kit, and will be adding more ASAP!

Another piece of simple, but great gear that was included in the box was the Gerber Shard, everybody knows this thing, most of you probably have one, and there is definitely no harm in having a spare!

When I got to the bottom of the box, I was honestly surprised to see that something as high quality as the Madhouse Designs GCS was in this box. I had been thinking about purchasing one of these for months, but I just couldn’t decide if I liked it as an option for my vehicles or not, well now I’ll find out!

I’m working with Mike from MHD to bring you guys a full review on this setup, so stay tuned!
The final item in the box was the Chris Kyle Commemorative Coin, wrapped in a prominent packaging that it, like Chris Kyle, was made in the USA and proud of it! It’s a wonderfully made piece to show honor to someone like Kyle was, may he rest in peace.

All in all the haul from this box was far from what I would have ever expected. With the vast amount of subscription boxes we have popping up almost daily nowadays, they are becoming more about cheap trinkets than real gear, but TacPack definitely doesn’t stand in that crowd. If you don’t already have a subscription, I recommend you get one!
