KeymasterSo this is my review of the TT Document Bag which I use as my work EDC bag. I´ve only had it for about a month so. Therefor I can’t speak for the durability over time. As far as organization, comfort, details and general lay out of the bag I must say that I’m really impressed. It’s perfect for me in my line of work as a site manager in construction (I’m not sure if that’s the correct translation).
The bag itself is made from 700D Cordura and measures 41x30x17 cm. The front and the sides are covered with MOLLE and the bag is very well padded.
I usually carry my bags cross shoulder with the bag on my right side. On one side I’ve attached a 5.11 large Drop Pouch and a semi hard glasses case clipped to the D-ring for the shoulder strap.
On the other side I’ve only got a Gerber EAB at the moment.
The shoulder strap has got a fixed shoulder pad which I usually don’t like but here it works for me. The way the strap attaches to the bag makes it really comfortable to carry.
The pad’s got a press stud which attaches to the bag when not I use. This is a smart detail that I didn’t think I’d use as much as I do. I wish the strap was a bit shorter though b/c as it is I can’t get the pad to be centered on my shoulder when I carry it across my chest.
The bag is divided into 4 compartments. A thin stash pouch on the front…
… a padded compartment for papers and folders the zippers go down to about 1/5 from the bottom…
… and finally there’s the laptop compartment. The zippers goes about 1/3 down the sides.
I can easily fit both my 15” laptop in the dedicated compartment and still have room for a full A4 binder next to it. Now I’ve got a Maxped. Fatty organizer there.
The laptop dedicated part of this compartment has got a kind of fold over thing so when you’ve got your laptop in there it’s actually protected on all sides.
One of several smart details with this bag is the key keeper in the organizer compartment. Its very easy to clip on and remove your keys one handed.
This is what I carry in the organizer
And in the papers/folders compartment. I’ve got my dog with me to work and the bowl is obviously hers.
And finally the laptop compartment minus the laptop.
To sum it all up.
As I wrote I’ve only had this bag for a short time so I might find things that bug me about it later on. So far I’ve only got three things that I’d change with this bag.
1. Shorter shoulder strap.
2. Some kind of anti-slip material on the shoulder strap.3. Somewhere to organize multi-tool sized items.
The bag is full of smart details and I really like the zippers on this bag, they’re super smooth.
