Testing SureFire Service

    I sent my E1L Outdoorsman with KL1 head in for service today. I bought the light new 6-7 years ago. This is the original, single output model. Maybe two years ago the light developed a couple problems. First, it will not always come on when the switch is pushed. I have to knock it against my palm or loosen then tighten the head to get the light to work. Second, sometimes when it does come on, it will be in a low light mode. Knocking or twisting will usually get it to come on fully without having to reclick the switch. I called SureFire today, FINALLY, got a RMA no. and sent the light in. Gave a full description of the problems and full disclosure of the age of the light, etc. I love the little fella and want to fixed. Told them I’d pay to have it repaired if necessary. I would actually rather pay a reduced price for the dual output E1L as a replacement but we will see what they decide to do. Fingers are crossed.
