The Sig P239

Anyone here have one of those or something similar? I ask because of my comment in another thread that I like the (relatively) thin magazines that guns like this use.

I expect you’d have trouble finding one these days (haven’t been looking myself) because it’s a relatively heavy pistol at 29 ounces. I almost bought one once but instead bought a P225, I think it was, mainly because it was less expensive. But it did have a single column magazine. All Sigs are on the pricy side, though.

On paper, at least, most guns that I have or would own are almost the same dimension-wise, although they often seem otherwise. I have to admit that other factors might play a bigger role in finally deciding which new gun to buy, not that I buy new guns very often. Even the weight is not that important in the end, since my CZ P01 comes in at 28 ounces (empty, with magazine) and it’s virtually the same size as the much more expensive Sig. I looked long and hard at a Walther PPS because of it’s more compact dimensions but finally acquired something which was even smaller.

Or is a Sig P239 hopelessly old-fashioned?
