KeymasterLooking through some old photos (I don’t have many) and saw my waterproof salopettes (made by Berghaus) they cost what seemed like alot of money in 1985, wore them in ice climbing the alps a few times, skiing and climbing in Scotland, climbing in Sierra de Gredos (Spain), many other adventures, eventually they got downgraded for work duties (then I started traveling in jungles and Sahara, so no need for such gear!). Nearly 30 years later I still have them (and use them occasionally) only the elastic shoulder straps have gone.
When you think of what they’ve been through it’s amazing- winter climbing is harsh, as is tree work, forestry and roped access.Just wondering if you guys have old trusty clothes like this and stories attached too them?
Up in the alps….

[IMG][IMG]Don’t do this work anymore, the money is terrible and cost of living here is too much.Looking through some old photos (I don’t have many) and saw my waterproof salopettes (made by Berghaus) they cost what seemed like alot of money in 1985, wore them in ice climbing the alps a few times, skiing and climbing in Scotland, climbing in Sierra de Gredos (Spain), many other adventures, eventually they got downgraded for work duties (then I started traveling in jungles and Sahara, so no need for such gear!).
