I’ve been looking for a really compact holder for about 4 SD cards that isn’t overbuilt and ultratough like most of them. The slimmest I’ve found are products like the Think Tank Pixel Pocket Rocket, which are 4″x2.5″x0.5″ empty. For holding cards only 1.25″ tall, that 2.5″ dimension is pretty nuts!
I want decent security (snug fit) so cards don’t fall out but I don’t need bulletproof design. My outer bag is supposed to survive an orbital drop, so my SD carrier doesn’t have to. Also, many are built to hold 9-20 SD cards, which is well over what I need, and just adds unnecessary bulk.
I’ve dredged Ebay and Amazon looking for cheap trash products, but no joy.
I’m even open to buying something and modding it. People here have done some neat stuff with shotgun bandoliers and buttstock ammo carriers, but I’m guessing there’s too much slack in the elastic loops as they’re meant to hold cylindrical items, not flat rectangular ones.
Any ideas? Thanks!
