    I always liked unboxing threads for watches so I’ll do one for my newest knife.

    GiantMouse Knives GMP1!

    The designers behind the GiantMouse brand are world-renowned Danish knife makers and designers Jesper Voxnaes (Vox) and Jens Ansø.
    The GMP1 is a full size EDC folder with a broad flat saber-ground utilitarian blade.

    Limited to 100 numbered pieces.

    TECHNICAL DETAILS

    Materials:
    Blade Steel: N690 Cobalt high performance powder steel. Fine stonewashed Black PVD coating.
    Handle: 6AL4V Titanium with a smooth stonewashed Black PVD coating.
    Backspacer, clip and pivot ring: Titanium anodized a rich bronze color.
    Pivot Mechanism: Ball bearings.

    Note: Shades of black from the PVD process will vary slightly between the knives in the batch of 100.

    Blade Thickness: 0.157″ (4mm)
    Handle Length: 4.7″ (119mm)
    Handle Thickness: 0.433″ (11mm)

    This was one of those buys where I assume I will like it and if I don’t I won’t have any issue selling it. The GMP1 is limited to 100 and the first 50 are sold out. The 2nd 50 go up for sale this week.

    It’s great. Thinner handle than I had imagined. Very smooth deployment. Comes out of the pocket very well despite having a machined pocket clip. I see this as being carried on special occasions, certainly not all the time.
