So I just received the FTIM Slim from Vanquest and I’m not as thrilled about it as I thought. The reason I went with it was because of the design. It’s similar to the ITS Trauma kit where it can pretty much be ripped open and fold out, same as Vanquests Fat Pack line. I opted for this design because it seemed like it would be easier to access if I ever wanted to attach it to my pack.
My question and main concern is with the Zippers on it. They are extremely hard to close due to the material on the inside basically catching. Now it opens fine but the closing can be a pain.
Has anyone had the same experience with this product or similarly designed project, Vanquest or other? Not sure if I should wait and see if it breaks in, go with another similar product or go with the tried and true Clam shell EDC organizer.
