Roger, what’s your UK source for FFDs? I used to have a couple in my bag but I have used them over time.

Just read the OP again, it seems odd to me. Handcuffs and “self defence spray”, in England? That seems a little odd.BTW, I was on the Royal Rota yesterday and the Queen’s PPO’s carry a very small FAK with a TQ, homeostatic dressing and a izzy….

I assume you’re not including the trauma Bergen with the defib and oxygen the PPO’s always have with them? That allows the carriage of a very minimal ifak.September 24, 2025 at 7:22 am #21615admin

Given we’re not CP operators, that’d be a “no” π Besides, ambulances (full size ambulances, paramedic responder cars, and ambulance paramedic bikers) carry that kit πSeptember 24, 2025 at 7:22 am #21617admin

I would imagine that was in the back of the Range Rover, not on their person.September 24, 2025 at 7:22 am #21619admin

With a CP team, I’d imagine so as well, but we’re not a CP team, so no, we don’t carry that sorta kit. We leave that to the Ambulance people.September 24, 2025 at 7:22 am #21621admin
KeymasterIf you’re looking for an inexpensive Trauma dressing look at the STEROPLAST website (in the UK)/ They do 2 sizes and are cheap as chips. They are double wrapped , with an inner vacuum sealed pack.

KeymasterAnother discreet option is an ankle carry trauma kit. Atlas Gen4 Achilles. You know youβre wearing it but itβs comfortable and totally unnoticeable to the untrained eye. No relation, just a customer. Their gear is quality.
Phokus also makes the Advanced Low Visibility First Responder Kit.
Finally, check out the Clutch Belt Pricey but it would carry all of the gear you mentioned as well as a Trauma Kit.September 24, 2025 at 7:23 am #21629admin
KeymasterSo when you sit down and your pant leg raises up does it ever get hung on the top of your ankle FAK?
September 24, 2025 at 7:23 am #21632admin
KeymasterNever been a problem for me in jeans, khakis or suit trousers.
September 24, 2025 at 7:24 am #21633admin
KeymasterNo, not a problem with appropriate inseam length jeans/pants/trousers.
Shorts on the other hand :bounce:
I try to keep bulk of gear towards the back so it sits under the drop of the pant leg below my calf. Much less likely to print. The band fits snugly and doesn’t shift if secured properly.

KeymasterI carry my trauma gear in a Ryker Nylon AFAK. I like it. And it enables me to carry a SOFT-W, 2 compact chest seals, Wound Clot hemostatic gauze, trauma shears, compact pressure dressing, and some nitrile gloves. I didn’t mention it before, because this thread said belt mounted, but I’d definitely prefer this setup to a belt mounted one. Much easier to keep discreet when you wear the right pair of pants. If you’re into pretty slim pants with a narrow leg opening, or having a short inseam on your pants, then ankle carry won’t work very well though. I can post pics if it’s helpful, but don’t want to clutter the thread otherwise.

KeymasterIf the Roger won’t mind: yes please do so.

KeymasterSure thing. Here’s a few pics. Works for me. I carry a second tourniquet in various ways depending on what I’m wearing as well. None of the secondary tourniquets I carry are CoTCCC recommended though. I’m fine with that, but that’s everyone’s decision for themselves.

KeymasterI searched a long time for a simple IWB carry system for an IFAK as well. I ended up getting the Phlster Flex. The flex is very modular and customizable.
I carry a tourniquet, QuikClot gauze, 4″ Israeli bandage, and fixed blade on the flex at 12 o’clock. My conceal carry at 3 o’clock, and spare mags at 9 o’clock.
My back has nothing, so I can sit comfortably.
I can take and add pictures if you’d like.
Edit : Added pictures
