Sounds like a good reason to bring boot cut jeans back into fashion. The flare will help conceal IFAKs, lol.

How does it not slide down and take your sock with it?

Probably because it is snug enough to not slide.

I’ve worn my NARESCUE kit for 16 hours straight without a single problem, including several long train rides with lots of sitting. I even worn it at work, in scrubs, for no other reason than to test it. No real discomfort, no significant sliding, no real printing, never noticed anyone noticing. Tourniquet (C.A.T), flatpacked ETD, the Israeli made bandage pack Kevin shows in his pictures (please note this is not the same as an “Israeli bandage”) as well as gloves and a couple of aspirin carries without much trouble.

I should also add that I usually carry the kit in my backpack/sling bag as a trauma kit (there’s more in the bag) and it functions well in this role. If for some reason I don’t carry the bag I can just put the ankle kit on.

I’d love to try the other kits in the thread but paying 43 USD shipping + import taxes for a 40 USD product isn’t exactly something I want to do.

Thinking a bit outside the box, what about a cellphone holster?

    http://a.co/d/9lAVLFa 19 x 9.5 x 2cm
    or
    http://a.co/d/0gezKJA 7.2x 4.6×1.5 inch

Plenty of options out there with the approximate dimensions you specified. And certainly grey-man worthy, if a bit dorky.

It slides down every here and there, but not often.

This is my typical pant rise when I sit and fidget about wearing slacks be they “dress slacks” or “casual” like khakis.

How would an AFAK or ankle FAK fare?[IMG]

With those boots it will rest on top but not sure if pants will completely cover.

Wearing mine, seated with max pant leg rise..[IMG]

    Thanks.

I think my jeans will cover adequately. They tend to be a bit longer, but when playing dress up (my usual office attire) I don’t like my slacks to bunch up at the bottom when I stand. That goes back to the days when I was a cop and worked with guys that looked like crap in uniform.

The AFAK would show. Mine shows on occasion and either nobody has ever noticed, or nobody has ever said anything. It is more difficult wearing dressier attire. I keep my AFAK in my bag at work for this reason. I carry a more minimalist kit consisting of a SWAT tourniquet, Quick Clot sponge, duct tape, nitrile gloves, and a seat belt cutter in my pocket most days at work instead.

@RogerStenning have you finalized your kit?

I would appreciate both pictures as well as a detailed list of content – TIA!

Not yet, sorry to say; other issues have been pressing, and have delayed further activity on finalising the contents of the kit. I’ll update once we’ve had a chance to finalise it to a team-agreed standard 🙂

Any update? I’m very keen to learn what the final kit contains and what size it has, as well as how it will be carried (belt?).

    TIA!

Amazingly, we’re still discussing (read: politely arguing without shouting) this problem. It’s largely a matter of cost versus utility versus stowed size versus where it’ll be carried on the person. Being a small team means we buy our own kit, which is obviously a major factor. I suspect we aren’t going to get this sorted until we’re right down to the wire, so to speak.

I don’t know if these would be something you were interested in or not, but thought of this link when I came across them.
