I am wondering if anyone already tried to make N690 look old or vintage or grey. Soon I should get scales for my BM 551H2O and my idea is, to use (warm?) vinegar essence to make the blade look … different/old/vintage … whatever I can achieve. Just covering the edge and friction part with nail posh and then placing it in the essence. But for how long? And the rest of the visible hardware too, maybe?
Could there be an issue with hydrogen penetration?
Anyone tried that has good advice?
