So it’s time to upgrade phones. My battery is starting to die quickly and my phone is getting bogged down despite a factory reset and running CM10. Oh, and I’m still having connectivity issues on my Razr that Verizon can’t seem to fix… (but that’s a story for another day).
I was also informed by Verizon that by signing a new contract on the exact plan I’m on now and getting a discounted phone will get rid of my unlimited data. But don’t worry, they say, I’ll get 6gb of data at for essentially the $30 I’m paying for unlimited now… Previously, as long as I didn’t change my plan, I was grandfathered in to the data, even when upgrading phones. Needless to say, I’m kinda pissed.
My options are simple, take the new One M8 for $200 with a measly 6gb of data (I probably average ~10gb/month when I have a stable connection (which I haven’t with my Razr)). Or pay full price for a phone and keep my data plus be off contract…
So this is my long-winded way of asking if anyone’s used the new M8 and how do you like it so far (also venting a bit). This would be my first time with an HTC, been a Motorola user for 4.5 years.
