Wallet Selection Help

Hi all,

I spent several hours researching wallets. I think I’ve narrowed it down to 2 very different options, and I’d like to see what the community here thinks. And maybe there’s something else that I haven’t considered.

Based on my research, I plan to go with either a Spec Ops THE wallet: http://www.opticsplanet.com/spec-ops-t-h-e-wallet-100070101.html or the JR model of this: http://www.opticsplanet.com/spec-ops-t-h-e-wallet-j-r-just-right-100070201.html If I get one of these I plan to try carrying it on my hip with a belt clip. Even the JR is big from what I understand, and I’m tired of sitting on a large wallet, especially when driving. I hear it can also cause nerve problems.

My other option was to go for a Simblissity wallet, and since it’s smaller either keep it in my front pocket or on my hip with a clip. I think I want the BL1 if I go that route, but I’m not positive: http://www.simblissity.net/litefold_productpage.htm

Here’s a list of stuff I currently keep in my wallet:

• 3 credit cards
• driver’s license
• spare car key
• several plastic rewards cards, insurance card, and business cards in one slot
• several small papers and cards (like coupons and free food item stamp rewards cards)
• cash
• coins

I sent an email to Simblissity to see what they’d recommend, but haven’t heard back yet.

If I go the Spec Ops route, and end up liking the wallet on the hip solution, I think I could go for the larger size. They look pretty close in size from what I’ve seen, and the JR seems to have been made to fit in back jeans pockets easier. I read that someone suggested paracord between the 2 grommets, and you could use a belt clip with it that way. I’m not sure what would be best in terms of creating a hip clip solution. I think I’d also like to chain it to a belt loop, to avoid losing it….maybe I could carry my keys on that chain too, but I haven’t looked into that yet.

I did look at the Civilian clip wallet, but I like the zipper or the velcro for coins. I also looked at Bill’s Urban Wallet, but read that he provides bad customer service.
