Want Hand Held GPS

I am finally going to get a GPS for marking fishing hot spots along fresh water shores and general use. All I know thus far is that Garmin and Magellan are the major two manufacturers. Want a pocketable, durable, color screen unit. Really high end features are not needed unless they are the kind that will soon become the standard and I will grow into them. User friendliness is a plus. Price wise goes along with grow into statement but as always would not want to spend more than necessary. I can easily learn techy features but like to keep it simple.
