I’m looking for some advise on good, breathable, light weight, steel toe boots/shoes for warmer weather. I’m currently wearing red wing 608’s and my feet are getting warm and sweaty and stinky. That’s a problem I’ve never had before and at my previous job I worked outside in all conditions, cold and hot, wet and dry. But now I work 90% of the time inside and my feet get hot and stinky. I’m guessing that footwear doesn’t breathe as well indoors as out? Also what are some good socks? I’ve looked at the smart wool socks, but it’s hard to spend 14 -20 dollars on a pair of socks but if they work and last, they would be worth it to me. What suggestions do you have for me?
