Alright. My experience with watches involves cheapo digitals, a Swatch, and a cute leather Pooh watch in High School. I go Geocaching a lot, at least once a week. I want a watch, I check my phone a lot for the time and any battery life I can save is a plus.
-Under $50 (I may be able to stretch it to $100 at most)
-Water resistant (not swimming, but a splash here or there and a shower or two)
-Not digital
-I’d love one with a compass built into the face but I don’t think there’s any in my price range
-Most likely going to replace the strap with paracord. If no compass is involved my second choice will be to slap one there.
-I like colors. Something like a black face with orange lettering would make me a happy weasel
. Mostly black is preferred.
-Glow in the Dark! It’ll make life easier.I’ve been poking around eBay and found a couple I *loved* only to find out the smaller faces are decorations.
I was thinking of getting a $5 watch and cannibalizing it to paracord but figured it would probably last 5 minutes. Ugh.
