KeymasterObris Morgan Explorer.
You know I’ve been a watch addict for quite a long time, but the virus slept for over a year, but then I stumbled over the OM Explorer and here we go……..it is such a nice watch and so affordable, some might call this a steal !
Right now I got the chance to get a OM Nevon PVD for a good price and I am still debating with myself, for days……..and it is still available…….December 17, 2025 at 7:11 am #134485admin

KeymasterIt was my dads. Works like a charm, manual wind.
It’s had no issues chrono works perfectly, but I’m sure it needs a service! I just don’t have the money at the moment.
What a wonderful Speedie you got and it’s nice to read the story behind it.When you got the funds to let it serviced, try to find a local watchmaker if possible, this should save you some $.
When the Omega service get their hands on this one, they will swap the old dial with the wonderful aged tritium for a new one with super luminova, it gains night readability but will loose its charm.Unfortunately the hands don’t look to good, if you got a good watchmaker at hand, he should be possible to relume those.
I don’t know if free lance watchmakers are still able to order parts at Omega, I think they changed their policy a few years ago.I would recommend to join a nice forum like WUS – watchuseek and ask the people in the Omega sub forum for help, there a nice bunch of people over there, they should be able to give you more information on service and stuff.

Thanks!I am on WUS, but haven’t asked yet as I don’t have the funds. I don’t want any parts changed – I don’t mind about having no lume etc, and want to keep everything original. Just a service of the mechanism when I get the chance to 🙂
