KeymasterG shock g 9000 mudman… Just recently started wearing a watch after taking a 10 year break… Got tired of always looking at my phone like it was a bomb counting down… Here is a super clean pic from its first day out…

KeymasterMy birthday gift this year (shame I had to buy it myself). This is a 40mm Hamilton Khaki Field Officer Mechanical. Slightly older version, there is something fantastic about the all-matte case, the just enough markings (including the outer minute chapter, and inner 24), and the visceral pleasure of a hand-wind. Really a just-enough, watch-as-utility piece. I’ve got a custom strap on it’s way (likely followed by a second), but something about the Orange Heavy Duty Nato just felt right on the day.

KeymasterUpdate on the Black Monster. My gen 2 replacement came in, and the only thing I could think that happened is that the first one I received had been worn and sent back to the seller. I just had 4 links removed in order for the watch to fit properly. The gen 1 that I got from a different vendor almost fit when I received it, and it did not have any of the protective plastic in place that my new one did. So here is my Black Monster Gen 2:

VERY COOL!! I just recently learned about the updated monsters. That has different movement, correct? Hacking and handwinding? Does the crown still screw down?December 17, 2025 at 9:37 am #135003admin

It’s a 24 movement vs 21. It’s still an automatic, and the crown still screws down. The other differences are mainly cosmetic. Google Seiko Black Monster Gen 1vs Gen 2December 17, 2025 at 9:37 am #135007admin
