After 13 years how well does it glow still? I bought myself a Luminox because I love the design and tritium vials. That was my only concern.

Mines not 13 years old but 11 or 12… It still glows pretty good. It glows noticeably less than my new Tawatec but it does have smaller trit vials.December 17, 2025 at 10:08 am #135125admin

Like Jason said about his, slightly less than when new but still bright enough to see well in a dark room.December 17, 2025 at 10:08 am #135126admin

Nice! Reminds me of their old Bluering model. The dome sapphire crystal is a nice touch.

Another from the pure utility/perfect for EDC side of my collection. This Hamilton Khaki Navy GMT Air Race was my first (and for a long time, only) “real” watch. I wore it near every day for 4 years or so and have beaten it up. I’ve slept, showered, seam, hiked, rocked climb, and done any number of other thingDecember 17, 2025 at 10:09 am #135128admin
KeymasterAnother from the pure utility/perfect for EDC side of my collection. This Hamilton Khaki Navy GMT Air Race was my first (and for a long time, only) “real” watch. I wore it near every day for 4 years or so and have beaten it up. I’ve slept, showered, seam, hiked, rocked climb, and done any number of other things with it strapped to my wrist. Not truly a dive watch, but rated for 200m and with a rubber strap and screw down crowns I figured, “why not?” one day when it was that or no watch. Besides it wasn’t much more than 3ATM or so. After that I used it for every 1 of 30+ dives.
With improved circumstances and a larger collection it doesn’t get quite the same amount of wrist time as it used to, but it keeps time just as well today as the first day I strapped it on. I still absolutely love the 24hr 2nd time zone, the ghost hand, and the countdown — not up — timing bezel. And, of course, the orange. I actually bought it on a black rubber strap with orange stitching (see @Gazoo #1228), but picked up the orange with white stitch that is pictured mid last year and now it mostly lives on that.

KeymasterFound my sisters old G shock, which I ‘appropriated’ years ago when I found it at our parents house, years after she moved out!

A DW6900, early one. The date resets to 1995 when I put a new battery in tonight. It’s survived a few house moves, and is in excellent condition. It’s says ‘fox fire’ on the front, instead of ‘illuminator’, which according to google makes it a Japanese domestic market model. No idea why, as she will have got it from a local shop like Argos maybe.
Anyway, wearing it tonight 🙂
