Looking for a weather radio for the office at work.
I’ve never messed with these so I’m not real sure how they work. Do you hear white noise static until an alert comes on or what? Will I receive alerts for everywhere in the state or are they specific to my general location? Is that location defined by where I physically am or can I set it on the radio (could I hypothetically have it give me alerts for NY if I’m in Cali?)
How good is reception on these things? I know AM/FM radios can be a bit iffy in the building (metal) but seem to work OK. Most cell phones don’t work at all in there but get full bars outside.
