there is a video on youtube where they dropped one in a fish tank with the timer going and left it for 8 hours. at the 8 hour mark it was still working

No, I just had a Note 7, No smoke or extreme heat, I took the iPhone 6 back and got the 7. I believe I am now an Apple fan!

Fan of course… I don’t know why people think that if you’re using apple you have to admire all apple products and to hate android. I hate dividing on iOS and Android world… OSX and Windows and so on… :nah_disagree:

I just bought a LG K7 for $49 from metro pcs on Fri. Nothing fancy but suits my purpose. I just use a metro pcs $30 per month plan. My old Samsung with the slide out keyboard is being retired after years of use. I’ve never had a contract cell phone/plan and never will (unless it’s free from work).

I just got the Google Pixel XL a few days ago. I have had Samsung smartphones for the past 3 years but this one has converted me. The UI is much simpler to use, there is no bloatware, and it is everything I need with nothing I don’t.

Just got a MS Lumia 640 XL for work. Definitely like it better than the Android offerings I’ve used (Google Nexuses – Nexii? lol) and it plays nicely with my Windows 10 machine at work. Still not giving up my Apple products though 🙂

Just got an iPhone 7 Plus, 256GB Apple Black. It is a spectacular phone! My only problem is that I upgraded from an tiny iPhone 5 and the new phone doesn’t have a permanent home in my pocket/belt setup yet. Keep trying different things but the phone with a good case of any variety is BIG. However, every time I use it I remind myself why I went big–it is so much easier to read for prolonged periods of time and the battery lasts 3 times longer than my old phone.

Picked up a LGv20 in lieu of getting the Note 7 about a month ago. Been having problems with the V20 randomly freezing on me 1-3 times a day and needing a battery pull to restart it…
