KeymasterI have it set up with a custom kernel that only onlines the cores when the demand goes up. Only one or two cores are in use for most tasks but if you are doing something like gaming all 4 will come online. If I am not using my phone heavily I can get two days battery life.

KeymasteriPhone 5 (after a few years with an iPhone 3GS). It was not a very big change in how I use/what I use the phone for. I have gotten used to the nearly-ubiquitous internet access and do like it. (Well, at least enough to pay for the monthly data plan.)

KeymasterDroid Motorola Razr. The biggest plus is a side loading SIM card. When I fly overseas, I can remove and instal a prepaid Sim card from whatever country I’m in and make cheap local calls to the group I deploy with (we all do the same thing). Works really well.
I also like having a removable storage drive (I’m using 32g sandisk)

KeymasterJust a FYI in cause the wife dunks her phone in the water again…throw the phone in a bag of dry uncooked rice or a bag with those silica gel packs. It those will grab the water from the phone.

KeymasterI always wanted to try a Windows 8 phone!! I got one for my boss. Really great build quality as you can except from a Nokia. Sadly he had to return it since it didnt work with our google apps program.

KeymasterUnlocked and rooted ATT i717 Note running on T-Mobile ($30 100 minute/5 gig 4g – not a big talker, more a surfer)
Not as fast as the newer Notes or the SG3, but has a little more resolution that I like (newer Note was more for viewing videos and I use mine more as a tablet surfing the net)
Since the hardware is ATT, it seems to automatically detect all the ATT hotspots and I get on them for free and don’t even have
to sign on (like at McD’s). Plus, I get to use at as a wifi hotspot, which is something I could not do with a T-Mobile Note using the prepaid planLiked it so much, that I sold my Nexus 7 (though I probably will buy another one used if the price is right)
