Hey all,
Inspired by the Single-Wing Wingman thread on here, I came up with the following:
The Sidekick is the most near it’s factory form. I changed the saw blade out for the scissors from the Wingman, added the small bit driver (I wear glasses, this is perfect for the screws on it) from a Wave, and removed the lanyard ring and short serrated blade. This is designed to be my “light” EDC MT (when not carrying my Surge).
The clip handle of the Wingman holds all the original tools from the Wingman, except the OHO scissors. This was designed to function as a SAK mostly. It is an even lighter EDC MT.
The non clip handle from the Wingman holds Wave scissors, bottle opener, large flat screw driver and the large bit driver. It also contains the OHO Saw blade, small serrated blade, and lanyard ring from the Sidekick. I put this together to serve as a tool kit for my hunting packs when couple with a LM bit kit. The full 20 piece kit can service most anything on my bow or rifle, and now has a compact, light driver to go with it.
All told, I have about $70 and a couple hours of assembly trial and error in these three tools.
Wave parts are available on a certain auction site. The seller was able to supply a bunch of extra washers/shims that were necessary at various points throughout.
Thanks for the inspiration fellas, God bless you all!
Adam
