Why can’t you have it on your belt at work? What’s the problem with having a pouch on ones belt whilst at work, some bosses are really strange??
For a while, I could wear pretty much whatever I wanted to work; so I wore cargo shorts (I practically live in cargo shorts), and I had numerous lights on my belt, and in my cargo pockets (as many as ten, at one time, between the two). I was pretty extreme about what lights I carried, on-person – even at work. But the dress code changed, and I could only wear flat front shorts (no more cargo pockets), and one belt-carried item, so that changed everything for me. I always belt-carry my iPhone (can’t stand pocket carrying a phone. It makes no sense to me), so that was a no-brainer. Flat front shorts don’t leave a lot of room for multiple-light carry, so I decided on my EagleTac P20C2 Mk II, because of its great flexibility and super solid clip.
Fortunately, I’m still able to carry all the same items I’d normally carry on-person, and those are in my bag, which I’m allowed to have at work :D. So, not really a big loss, although a little less convenient for instant access to some items.
It is what it is…

KeymasterSounds like a bizarre situation to me,….I know, if the boss says only one pouch, get one big enough to take the phone AND torch. Lol

I had considered doing something like that, but I really like the Otterbox Defender case I’ve been using on my 5S; so, I wouldn’t really want to make changes to the kind of instantaneous access that gives me to my phone (It’s got a clip holster. so the phone snaps in and out of it, very quickly), while still providing excellent protection. My reason for using this kind of set up (aside from excellent shock protection) is quicker access to the phone. I don’t want to be digging it out of a conventional holster. Takes too long, especially when I want to take a picture of something in a hurry (a Kodak moment, per se). Moments like that can pass you by very quickly, if you’re not ready for them.
I also like to be able to answer my phone on the first ring. I can’t stand people who let their phone ring several times before bothering to answer (and they often have their phone’s ringer volume cranked up all the way, too – very obnoxious, and just plain inconsiderate).
Now, if Otterbox made a Defender case, with an additional side pouch for my SC62W, I’d be all in 😀 :p

How is the throw on that one? And how does it perform with 3 CR123’s instead of 2? 🙂

KeymasterRainy…subjectively I perceive only a small increase from 2 to 3 cells… the voltage range for the M3 head is from 2.7-9v, so the added milliamp hours should be significant on use time… it illuminates the alley with intense (operative word) bright light for at least a block … reflective stop signs at least 5 blocks…

Ironside said: ↑This is my favorite light bar none. It hasn’t left my pocket since I got it. I like how you can pick the low modes but go to turbo with a twist. The GITD switch has been surprisingly useful finding it in the dark.

The Fenix UC30 arrived :frantic:and was added to my inventory yesterday. Played with it a bit last night. Brightness is wonderful, didn’t realize that it does not come with a clip (I tend to like clips) and I am a little bothered by the flush side switch, because I do not have feeling in my thumb and first 2 fingers ( thanks to my Navy experience) on my dominant hand I have difficulty locating it in the dark. I will figure out a way to overcome that I’m sure. So far all in all I rate it 4 1/2 stars out of 5.
Click to expand…I am in mourning!!! I lost the UC 30.
