According to the USPS tracking system my Fenix UC35 was supposed to arrive today. I was anxious to get home and tear open the package with the excitement of Christmas morning. Then the big let down, no package, no new toy, just disappointment!
I’ve got a Nickel plated Al Beta QRv2 incoming with Ti clip.
I just got the Copper version and while fantastic, is too heavy (IMHO) for keychain use. I also purchased a Eneloop AAA package. Makes overall sense to get the Nickel/Al version and pocket EDC the copper on the occasion I’ve detached the Al version from the QRS.
The Fenix UC35 arrived today! Very pleased! I very much like the tactical tail switch combined with the side switch that controls the light levels. The max 960 lumens is nice and it casts a nice long wide beam. The USB charger is also convenient I would consider it a perfect light if it were not for the fact the side switch is flush with the body of the light. This for an individual such as myself who has no feeling in his thumb and first two fingers on his dominant hand makes it difficult to locate the switch in the dark. However, I am quite sure that this is not insurmountable. All in all its a great light.
Just got home from work to find that my sc32w arrived in the mail today. Man, this thing is tiny!! I absolutely love the neutral tint. I always thought I was a cool white guy myself, but the tint on this is perfection. I can’t stress enough how superior zebralight’s operation is in comparison the anything else I’ve tried. I’ve also become a huge fan of side switches on single cell lights. I just feels right to me. I have a feeling this is going to be a new favorite for sure.

I’ve pre-ordered one of those as well. Really looking forward to it. This will be my first cr123 flashlight. Hope it will be fine for keychain use.

My tracking updated on the 7th when it hit London Heathrow but didn’t update after that and just turned up today, although it wasn’t really a fully tracked service more like a signed for on delivery update.
