So battery station didn’t have the HDS 170 219 in stock and they don’t make them anymore so I ordered a High CRI 200 from Henry. He said it’s about a week turnaround so hopefully this time next week I’ll have it in my pocket
I have been lurking on CPF – my bad!

After a long time of mulling it over I finally pulled the trigger on a new Malkoff MDC SHO. It’s like the MDC I already have but with the new style pocket clip and it’s just a single output level light. Since I had a coupon and enough for free shipping I also ordered an M61W for my newest Surefire 6P and an AA MDC body. My plan is to put the head of my current MDC on the new AA body and run a 3v 14505 lithium primary, then take the current MDC body and lego my old Surefire E1b head onto it.

Decided I really needed a Sunwayman V11R. Always eye balled them, never made it happen – kinda wish they came in the anodizing choices of the M11R but I’ll live.
I got a package of goodies from Malkoff today![IMG] First off I got an MDC HA SHO. I really like my other MDC overall but I don’t care much for the UI. It generally comes on in HIGH but not all the time. I dunno if I’m bumping the switch or not keeping track of the ON time. At any rate I really have no use for three modes, usually I want high so I decided to just get the version with one output level. The light is great! While the old clip design is okay I do prefer the new one. It will tailstand (not something I care much about but it’s there if you need it) but mostly it rides a smidge higher and better yet it doesn’t grip my pocket with quite as much of ‘death grip’ as the old style.
Next I got an AA MDC body. I took my old MDC head off the old CR123A body and put it on the new AA body and popped in a Titanium Innovations lithium primary 3v 14505 cell. This is pretty much a CR123A made into the size and shape of an AA. Obviously it probably won’t really work with a normal AA but that’s fine. To me the cool thing is that it makes the MDC just slightly more hand filling. Since that left me with a spare body I took an old cast-off Surefire E1b head and lego’d it with the Malkoff body. Funnily the old Surefire body is wearing a Malkoff head but I misplaced it when I moved to my present house.
Lastly I got an M61W. I’m not sure yet what I think of it. It’s much redder/rosier than my M61WL; I much prefer the tint of the latter. I was really excited to get it but there’s a little bit of buyer’s remorse kicking in. Maybe I should have just got another M61N. Still, I’ll have to use it a bit more before I decide. The output is great though! And the color is superb as long as I’m not comparing it side by side with the M61WL or M61N.
