Click to expand…What do you think of the Ti Quark? I’ve been thinking of getting one. I wish they made the CR2 Quark in Ti.

The action is what I’d describe as “gritty.” Even with cleaning and lube. The “low” is not very low; definitely not good for moonlight. Having said that: it’s light, has a GREAT high, and is easy to operate one-handed for being so short. For the price, it’s pretty good.

Thanks! Anything else in that price range that you would recommend over the Ti Quark?

I like the Maratac AAA way better. Much smoother, not much longer, way thinner. You get a copper one and it’s about the price of the Quark and the finish is just as cool IMO. Same UI too. Only two modes, but they are more useful than the Quark’s three (plus it’s unnecessary strobe). You could also get something by Peak for the same price, but I prefer two modes to variable control unless it’s a photography light like my logan.

KeymasterThis months pay packet will be going towards an o-light s10 baton, and a sunwayman v11r or m11r and a jetbeam e3s.
I need some new toys to cheer myself up a bit 🙂September 25, 2025 at 8:42 am #24316admin

KeymasterJust ordered a Fenix LD12. My first non-keychain edc light. Vacillated for a while between the PD22 and LD12, ultimately went with the ubiquity of AA batteries over the CR123.

I don’t think there’s much difference in size, I’ve taken both my LD10 and PD22 placing them side by side and both are about the same size. PD22 is a bit shorter, and even though I carry the PD22 I usually grab my LD10 for the same reason you chose AA batteries.
